Attila Csutak to Discuss Real-Time Payments Implementation, Risk, and ROI at USBT 2026

Attila Csutak, Director Emerging Payments Lead at East West Bank, joins the 2026 U.S. BankTech Summit as a panelist discussing real-time payments implementation, risk, and ROI.

Real-time payments are creating new opportunities for financial institutions, but bringing these capabilities into everyday banking operations requires careful planning. From infrastructure readiness and fraud prevention to customer onboarding and return on investment, successful implementation involves much more than enabling faster transactions.

Attila Csutak, Director Emerging Payments Lead at East West Bank, will bring 26 years of Treasury Management experience to the 2026 U.S. BankTech Summit as a panelist for “Real-Time Payments: Implementation, Risk & ROI.”

Attila has worked with major domestic and international financial institutions, as well as a large fintech company, developing expertise in payment products, strategy, and emerging technologies. His background spans payables, receivables, and payment innovations including Real-Time Payments (RTP), Zelle, and FedNow.

Throughout his career, Attila has contributed to initiatives focused on modernizing payment capabilities and supporting the adoption of faster payment systems. During his time at Fiserv, he worked on real-time payments initiatives, strategic planning, and product development.

His experience also extends to industry collaboration and the development of faster payments initiatives. Attila has worked with industry groups and the Federal Reserve, co-chaired several Federal Reserve Bank of Minneapolis projects, and participated in NACHA’s Payments Innovation Alliance.

Beyond his professional work, Attila co-wrote the 2024 book Smart Instant Payments and has shared his expertise at numerous industry conferences. His educational background includes a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science, an Associate Degree in Application Programming, and a Certified Product Manager credential.

The U.S. BankTech Summit is pleased to welcome Attila to its 2026 speaker lineup. His combination of banking experience, payment product development, and industry collaboration will contribute a practical perspective to discussions about real-time payment adoption.

Attila will participate in the panel discussion, “Real-Time Payments: Implementation, Risk & ROI.”

The session will explore how financial institutions are approaching the technical and operational requirements associated with FedNow and RTP. Panelists will exchange strategies for preparing infrastructure, managing fraud risks, and helping customers adopt real-time payment services.

The discussion will also examine how banks can evaluate the business case for real-time payments and connect implementation decisions with broader digital banking objectives. As institutions assess new payment capabilities, balancing customer expectations, operational readiness, and measurable returns remains an important consideration.

Attila’s experience across financial institutions, fintech, and industry payment initiatives will add valuable insight into the challenges and opportunities involved in moving real-time payments from strategy to implementation.

We look forward to welcoming Attila Csutak to the 2026 U.S. BankTech Summit, taking place December 7 to 9, 2026, in Oak Brook, Illinois.
