Will McComb of Phantom Joins 2026 U.S. BankTech Summit as Panelist

Will McComb, Product Lead for Money Movement at Phantom, joins the 2026 U.S. BankTech Summit as a panelist discussing real-time payments, implementation challenges, risk management, and ROI.

The future of money movement is being shaped by new payment infrastructure, digital wallets, stablecoins, and growing expectations for faster, more seamless transactions. As financial institutions modernize their payment capabilities, understanding how these technologies fit into broader banking strategies is becoming increasingly important.

Will McComb, Product Lead for Money Movement at Phantom, will join the 2026 U.S. BankTech Summit as a panelist for “Real-Time Payments: Implementation, Risk & ROI.”

The summit will take place December 7 to 9, 2026, in Oak Brook, Illinois, bringing together banking executives, technology leaders, and financial services innovators to discuss the challenges and opportunities shaping the industry.

At Phantom, Will leads the development of an in-app money suite that brings together trading, spending, transfers, and payments through a unified USD stablecoin balance. His work focuses on creating integrated experiences that make moving and using money more accessible across different financial activities.

Will brings more than a decade of product experience spanning digital assets, payments, and consumer technology.

Before joining Phantom, he worked at Coinbase, where he helped drive adoption of USDC across the company’s platform and the broader cryptocurrency ecosystem. Earlier in his career, he contributed to the growth of Amazon’s core retail marketplace.

This combination of experience across stablecoins, digital financial products, and large-scale consumer platforms offers a perspective on how payment experiences are evolving and what users increasingly expect from financial technology.

The U.S. BankTech Summit is pleased to welcome Will to its 2026 speaker lineup. His background in digital money movement and product development will add a valuable perspective to discussions about modernizing payment infrastructure and delivering practical value to customers.

Will will participate in the panel discussion, “Real-Time Payments: Implementation, Risk & ROI.”

As FedNow and the RTP network expand the possibilities for instant money movement, banks face important decisions about infrastructure readiness, operational processes, fraud prevention, and customer onboarding.

The panel will examine the technical and operational complexities associated with implementing real-time payment capabilities. Participants will exchange strategies for managing risk, preparing existing systems, and supporting customers as payment services evolve.

The conversation will also explore how banks can align real-time payment adoption with broader digital transformation priorities and evaluate the business value of their investments.

For financial institutions, successful implementation involves more than enabling faster transactions. It requires thoughtful planning around customer experience, security, operational readiness, and long-term return on investment.

Will’s experience developing stablecoin-powered money movement products brings an additional perspective to this discussion, highlighting how changing payment expectations can influence product strategy across the financial services ecosystem.

We look forward to welcoming Will and fellow industry leaders to the 2026 U.S. BankTech Summit for practical conversations about the future of payments and banking technology.
